Overview

Attractions

Petronas Twin Towers: This is known as one of the highest free-standing buildings in the world. The highest skybridge in the world resides on the twin towers which should not be missed. It’s the most famous tourist attraction in the whole of Malaysia; making it a ‘Must Visit’ sight.

 

The Sultan Abdul Samad Building: Visit this colonial landmark in downtown KL to click a picture of the most photographed building in the city.

 

Maslid Jamek Mosque: Another famous attraction within the KL city; this is the only place where coconut trees still survive, creating a scenic view to visitors.

 

Golden Triangle: Explore this large area in KL is formed by 3 major streets- Jalan Imbi, Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan Raja Chulan which borders the entire Golden Triangle area. This is known as the commercial, shopping and entertainment hub of the city.

 

Sunway Lagoon Theme Park: Located next to the famous Pyramid shopping mall, this water theme park is where children feel like they’re on top of the world, and adults become children again. Filled with water based activities, and fun rides the Sunway Lagoon is nothing but a fun-filled experience.

 

Batu Caves: In the Northern suburbs of KL this Limestone mountains tower contains many caves. One of these mountains contains the Batu Caves. These caves gets its name from the Batu River which flows past nearby. These caves feature many Hindu temples, making  the Thaipusam festival one of the most popular times to visit. Being one of the major tourist attractions this place should not be missed.

 

Genting Highlands: Only 50km’s from KL this hilltop city will transport you to a completely different world. Home to the only casino in Malaysia, it is also famous for it’s two thrilling theme parks offering many kinds of entertainment and rides.Hiking in this area is also popular. Get into the jungle train and be transported to Taman Negara National Park. Here you will be able to spot varieties of wildlife while walking through the ‘canopy walkway’ which is the most extensive canopy walkway found in the world.

 

Langkawi: Take a short flight from KL to visit Malaysia’s biggest and most beautiful Island filled with beautiful beaches, and breathtaking scenery. Don’t forget to go on a spa retreat, explore the coral gardens among the waters of Pulau Payar, and island exploration when you visit this tropical island. Visit the MusicRoom Discotheque, and the MusicRoom Pub which are two popular bars around; while Kuah is filled with places to dine, shop and sightsee within the island.

 

Penang: Situated less than 120km South of Langkawi is Penang, the Pearl of the Orient. Georgetown the state capital is a popular tourist destination, filled with colonial buildings and architecture. We advise you to take a tour around Penang to experience a series of interesting places. Take a short drive to Batu Fringghi and get a massage while adventure seekers go para-sailing, jet-skiing and banana-boating.

 

Malacca: Another short flight away from KL, this is a one of the most historic places filled with legend and folklore. Head over to A” Famosa Water World to experience amazing a man-made beach, spa pool, joy rides, water games, and hot-air ballooning. Malacca is filled with colorful attractions i.e the Red Fort, the Malacca Clock Tower, The Queen Victoria Fountain, The Dutch Square, St. Peters Church which is the oldest Catholic church in Malaysia are but a few of many attractions that should not be missed.

 


Dining

Jalan Alor: This lively street situated in the heart of the Golden Triangle is filled with mouthwatering hawkers food, and pavement cafes by night. You can find this street running parallel to Jalan Bukit Bingtang, KL.

 

Jalan Petaling: You can find hawkers food served all day and night. In the evening this area around Chinatown transforms into a hawker street and a night market.

 

Bukit Bingtang Street: This place is known as the shopping, and entertainment district of KL. Located along the Jalan Bukit Bingtang you can find chic restaurants, clubs, and cafes you can feast on all day and night long.

 

Revolving Restaurant: Located on the top of the world’s tallest towers, this revolving restaurant promises diners scrumptious food, and a 360-degree breathtaking views of the KL city.

 

Seri Melayu: If its traditional Malaysian cuisine & culture that your after, then this is the place to be. Famous to host the great buffets it is known as the best way to sample traditional Chinese, Malay, and Thai dishes.

 

SkyBar: Soak up the best views KL has to offer while sipping on some of the most amazing cocktails, and drinks at this bar. You can find this bar on the 33rd floor at Malaysia’s Traders Hotel.

 

Luna Bar: Known as one of the Top 10 rooftop bars in the world, this is a must visit. This chic bar offers a fabulous view of the Petronas Towers as you have a romantic night out snuggled in their private enclaves. You can find this bar on the 34th floor in the Menara PanGlobal, KL.

 


Shopping

Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC): Shopping being its main feature, it is the home to the famous Suria KLCC mall; which is situated between the Petronas Twin Towers; as well as Chinatown.

 

Mid Valley: This secondary shopping district South of the city center is not only popular for its malls; but also to go clubbing. Shoppers can grab a quick bite in one of the many restaurants around the Mega Mall while shopping away.

 

Bukit Bingtang Street: Located along the Jalan Bukit Bingtang is filled with many shopping malls, which is also home to the famous Berjaya Times Square shopping mall.

 

Sunway Pyramid Mall: When you visit the Sunway Lagoon Water theme park, don’t forget to visit this famous mall. This Egyptian influenced architectural building is filled with famous national and international branded stores to your liking.
